Information I Collect:

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom crochet order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use it:

Handling your data appropriately is integral to my business and will always be done in compliance with the UK GDPR and PECR. Your data may be shared for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances. I rely on a number of legal bases as defined within the UK GDPR to collect, use, and share your information, including:

- contract: to provide my services, such as using your information to fulfil your order, in case a dispute needs to be settled, or to provide customer support

-legal obligation: to maintain accurate records for tax purposes and any other relevant statutory obligations, such as in the event of a legal claim related to your purchase

-legitimate interests: your personal data may be used to demonstrate compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I will also rely on legitimate interest to share your personal information, explicitly your name and address, to perform the delivery services required in the fulfilment of your order.

Data Retention:

I retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. As per HMRC Tax requirements, I will hold records for a minimum of 5 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU:

Any personal data stored outside the EU, such as cloud services, will be stored in compliance with Standard Contractual Clauses, as per UK GDPR requirements.

Your Data Rights:

Access: You have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you. You can put a Subject Access Request by contacting me directly using any of the contact options listed on my page.

Rectification: You have the right to request data held about you is updated to be correct. In the case of orders that have not been dispatched which have incorrect data, I may need to cancel your order for you to resubmit your order with correct details. However, if your order has already been dispatched and you wish to change your address, you will be liable for covering the costs associated in getting your order to you.

Object: you can object to any processing related to marketing or data processed in relation to legitimate interests as described in this Privacy Policy.

Complaints: if you have any concerns about the way in which I have handled your personal data, you may contact the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office)
